Numerology gives meanings to numbers found in a date or name. Numeria uses a method often called Pythagorean numerology. Other methods can give different results. Here, you can follow every sum and see what the result means in your reading.
The date-based numbers
Your Life Path comes from your full birth date. Start with the month, day and year separately. Add the digits of each until you reach one digit, or 11, 22 or 33. Add the three results and follow the same rule again. For example, 28 becomes 2 + 8 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1.
Numerology calls 11, 22 and 33 master numbers. We keep them as they are. A slash shows their digit sum: 11/2 means 11, with 1 + 1 = 2. Your Birthday number uses the day alone. Your Personal Year uses your birth month and day, plus the year you choose, and always ends at 1 to 9.

The digits in 28 are 2 and 8. Add them: 2 + 8 = 10. Then add 1 + 0 = 1. Numerology calls this reducing a number.

2 + 9 + 22 = 33
Numerology calls 33 a master number, so we keep both digits. 3 + 3 = 6. We write this as 33/6 and include both meanings.

Each letter has a value from 1 to 9, shown below. Expression uses all letters in your name. Soul Urge uses vowels: A, E, I, O and U. Personality uses the other letters, called consonants. For Y, choose the sound you use: like the “i” in Lynn or the “y” in Yolanda. If you’re unsure, we leave out only the numbers that need that answer.
Add the letter values in each part of your name. Add the digits of each sum, stopping at one digit, or 11, 22 or 33. Then add those results and follow the same rule again.
The spelling you choose
We use A-Z letters. For example, É becomes E. If the spelling changes, we ask you to check it. Spaces and hyphens separate parts of a name; apostrophes and full stops are ignored. Leave out titles such as Mr or Dr. If your name uses a different alphabet, enter an A-Z spelling you choose or use your birth date alone.
What Personal Year means
Personal Year gives January to December a theme to explore. You choose the year. The theme offers ideas to try; it does not predict events. A saved reading keeps the year it was made for.
Calculation and interpretation
You can check the sums yourself. The meanings are stories and questions to enjoy, not a test of your personality or a prediction. Your favourite numbers, sign, moon and symbol add a personal touch. They do not change the numbers calculated from your date and name.
